I am a trauma-informed LGBTQIA+ affirming counselor practicing in the state of Ohio. It is important to me to work with a diverse population with a variety of presenting issues. I have experience working with clients with traumatic stress injuries, dealing with issues of identity, struggling with self-criticism and feelings of shame, having difficulties related to anxiety and depression, experiencing panic attacks and clients experiencing obsessive thinking or compulsions (OCD). I am passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals and aim to provide an open and affirming counseling experience to all of my clients.
I work with my clients from a place of compassion, acknowledging their expertise on their own experience, and supporting them as a fellow traveler in the journey of life. I believe in working with both the past and the present to build skills for managing current difficulties while addressing the origins of current patterns of thinking and behaving.

Individual counseling for adults of all ages
In-person sessions*
Sessions usually last about 55 minutes
My work with clients combines research-backed evidence-based treatments into integrative therapeutic experiences tailored to each client's needs. I am integrative in my work with clients, drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), EMDR, schema therapy, and compassion-focused therapy (CFT). I frequently use experiential exercises with clients including imagery work, mindfulness, and focusing. My integrative approach offers flexibility and alternatives for clients who have had limited success with traditional CBT.

*Virtual visits may be available for established clients or in specific circumstances. I find that I am usually at my therapist best when I am face-to-face with a client. And you deserve a therapist who is bringing their A game.
Paying for Sessions
Full self-pay fee schedule available upon request and self-pay clients will be provided a good faith estimate for costs of treatment.

Clients without insurance who are unable to afford the full cost of appointments are encouraged to inquire as to the availability of sliding scale (income-based) fees.
If your insurance plan includes out-of-network (OON) benefits, I am happy to supply you with a superbill for reimbursement. Additionally, I offer clients the ability to pay using thrizer, an app-based service that helps you manage your OON benefits and can even let you skip the superbill altogether.* Just mention that you'd like to use your out-of-network benefits in our consult call and I can walk you through using thrizer.
